Since the wood has texture, when the temperature and humidity change greatly, cracking, warping and deformation will inevitably occur. No matter what kind of wood is used for solid wood furniture, how to do it is not to be avoided. The wood-based panel is used to break down the wood into wood chips or wood pulp, and then re-form the wood. Because the original physical structure of the wood is broken, the "deformation" of the artificial board is much smaller than that of the solid wood when the temperature and humidity change greatly. Therefore, it can be said that the quality of the artificial board is more stable than the quality of the solid wood.

For example, curved wood furniture is to break the wood into narrow pieces of wood, which are then glued and rolled. The curved wood can be bent at any angle and has good durability. In the kitchen and bathroom furniture, the moisture-proof artificial board is applied, and after careful sealing and other processes, it can be used for a long time without deformation.

Furniture made of artificial boards is also called panel furniture. Although the panel furniture has the characteristics of being difficult to be deformed and the style is changeable, the pollution caused by the artificial panel to the living environment cannot be ignored.

Recently, the State Environmental Protection Administration put forward environmental protection technical requirements for artificial panels. In response to the problem of free formaldehyde emission from wood-based panel products, the Environmental Standards Institute of the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences and the National Wood-based Panel Quality Supervision and Inspection Center are jointly drafting (technical requirements for low-formaldehyde wood-based panel environmental labeling products). Among them, the pollutant discharge for production enterprises and products is limited, and the pollutant discharge of enterprises must meet the requirements of national or local pollutant discharge standards. The quality of wood-based panel products shall be in accordance with the requirements of the respective product quality standards, and the content of halogenated hydrocarbons and benzene compounds in the binders used in the products shall be less than 2000 mg/kg, and the amount of formaldehyde released in the products shall be less than 0.2 Very high rate. This requirement applies to artificial panels such as particleboard, plywood, blockboard, and composite panels.

In order to ensure the environmental protection of the living room, consumers should pay attention to whether or not to carry out strict edge sealing when purchasing the panel furniture, and the panel furniture should be well sealed on all sides.
